As for cutting insulation foam, those cheap cutters are only good for making very rough cuts. If you want precise cuts, I recommend this item: http://www.amazon.com/Proxxon-37080-Wire-Cutter-THERMOCUT/dp/B0017NS8H6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1449065732&sr=8-3&keywords=hot+wire+cutter
You can control the temperature, which allows for cuts that don't melt half the foam while working and you can do some pretty amazing things with it. It comes in little tubs - I found three in the clearance bin and snatched them up. It's basically a textured paste, you can mix it with some paint or just put it on before priming like I do. Here's a link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Martha-Stewart-32188-4-Ounce-Stucco/dp/B007C7XHM2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1448997526&sr=8-2&keywords=martha+stewart+stucco+effect

Beyond that, I've achieved similar effects by watering down spackle, and then applying it with a stiff brush in a stipple motion. But Martha's stuff is much easier and I think turns out better as well.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15795778015136292737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5936121898405920877.post-53450659510141537392015-12-01T13:25:45.990-05:002015-12-01T13:25:45.990-05:00Hi. I have tried sand/glue and/or filler and it never quite looks right. You're ...That is really impressive, well done!

You're right churches in Spain are hard to avoid or ignore. Pick any city or town and it really looks like someone built a church in the middle of nowhere and then people built a town round it.

That wasn't actually the case, but over time the church sort of becomes the hub of the community and as buildings are pulled down and then built back up, they sort of radiate around them.

Good stuff, keep it up! I make all my buildings with non-removable roofs, as you say, they are sturdier and you don't have to model the interiors, plus they would only get damaged removing the roofs.

Keep up the great work, very inspiring.Paul Scrivens-Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12949398840254289016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5936121898405920877.post-9205627207844947822015-11-27T13:25:11.783-05:002015-11-27T13:25:11.783-05:00Well done, love your creative work on this buildin...Well done, love your creative work on this building!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.com
